RemoteOne is a universal TV remote app for iPhone. Your privacy is fundamental to how we build the app. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data.
To control your TV, RemoteOne stores authentication tokens (e.g., Samsung pairing tokens, Apple TV credentials, LG client keys) locally on your device in the iOS Keychain. These credentials:
RemoteOne uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous, privacy-focused analytics. TelemetryDeck does not collect personal data or use tracking identifiers. We receive only aggregate, anonymized signals such as:
TelemetryDeck is GDPR-compliant and does not use cookies or fingerprinting. You can read their privacy policy at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
RemoteOne requires local network access to discover and control TVs on your Wi-Fi network. All communication happens directly between your iPhone and your TV over your local network. No data is sent to our servers or any third-party servers as part of TV control.
The only third-party service RemoteOne uses is TelemetryDeck for anonymous analytics (described above). We do not integrate with any advertising networks, data brokers, or social media platforms.
To control IR devices through an optional Broadlink hub, RemoteOne ships with a bundled IR code database assembled from two open-source projects:
These databases are static files bundled inside the app — no network calls are made to load them. The full attribution and license text is available in the app at Settings → About → Credits & Acknowledgments.
RemoteOne does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or any personal information to use.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We will not materially change our data practices without providing notice.
